William's Birthday Campout Adventure!

William and his grandparents hosted an awsome camping birthday celebration this weekend! His scout troop was the chosen group to celebrate with and they all brought plenty of excitement with them as you can imagine 8 and 9 year old boys might.
We started the day with hamburgers and fishing right off the bat. We lost one rod to the lake due to an overzealous caster but it was soon recovered and no harm was done-in fact it brought about quite a bit of laughter! We enjoyed brownies and lemonade, trips in the boat, and a water gun fight that almost took Glynn out of commission!
We started a big campfire and cooked out the traditional hot dogs and such but the boys were eager to get right back to the fish. After fishing until dark and singing "Happy Birthday" on the pier with a Hostess Cupcake birthday cake tower-the boys got into their tents to tell scary stories and laugh until the wee hours of the morning-poor Glynn-but the boys loved it! The best part is that you would think they would sleep in-no way-there were a few fish left in the lake that needed to be dealt with! After pancakes, sausage, bacon, watermelon and OJ-the boys got right back to it and had a few more trips out in the boat before heading back to the real world. William's Nana and Tommy were real troopers through it all and made it a trip to remember for everyone. Thanks for celebrating with us-it was great!

Happy Birthday William-we love you very much!
